The recipient of the Telangana Water Conservation Award 2021 and the Best NGO Award in Vikarabad district, was recognized by the Government of Telangana during 2017-18, and received a Bhumi Putrika certificate.


Appreciation

  • The Poverty Learning Foundation has praised SEED for its support in evaluating Horticulture programs and Watershed initiatives.
  • On World Water Day 2019, SEED received an appreciation certificate from HMWSSB for its contribution to water conservation.
  • The State Biodiversity Board praised SEED for its meticulous preparation of PBR registers, emphasizing community involvement and participatory methods. On International Day for Biological Diversity, SEED created awareness among the local community. NABARD appreciated SEED's participation in the Save Water campaign and participated in the Rashtriya Ekta Mini Marathon for its contribution to water conservation and national integrity. SEED NGO received Swachh Warrior certification from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation for driving Swachh Change, and received appreciation from US AID project through SWASTHI organization for its commendable relief health activities during COVID-19.

SEED was recognized by the Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board for its outstanding achievements in the conservation and restoration of rainwater harvesting structures within GHMC areas. This appreciation award acknowledges SEED's effective initiatives in motivating and mobilizing communities, utilizing innovative Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, including mobile auto campaigns and pamphlet distribution. SEED's efforts led to increased participation from various community-based organizations such as the Slum Level Federation and Residential Welfare Associations in urban areas like Hayathnagar, Badangpet, Meerpet, Peddamberpet, and Turkyamjal Municipalities of Rangareddy district.

SEED was honored with the Best NGO award by the Telangana State Water Resources Development Wing for its exceptional efforts in community mobilization and capacity building for the conservation of natural resources. Through the implementation of integrated Watershed Development projects and Sustainable Agriculture Development initiatives, SEED promoted best water conservation practices and raised awareness on water conservation methods across nine districts of the newly formed state of Telangana.

The CEO of SEED NGO was honored with the Best Conservation Award from the Telangana State Biodiversity Board for their commendable efforts in preparing 12 People's Biodiversity Registers across three districts of New Telangana. With the support of the SEED team, comprehensive data regarding bio-resources was collected to aid in the conservation of local species, thereby strengthening Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).

The Telangana state government honored SEED with the Best NGO award on June 2, 2018, in celebration of State Formation Day. This recognition underscores SEED's impactful work in community mobilization for Natural Resource Management through Integrated Watershed Development. Additionally, SEED has been instrumental in promoting sustainable livelihoods and establishing 36 farmers' clubs across 48 villages in 3 mandals. Furthermore, SEED facilitated the federation of these clubs and watershed committees into 5 farmers' producer organizations (FPOs), granting them legal status to access enhanced marketing opportunities and other conveniences in Vikarabad district.
